Not that it matters (since I'm shooting for NFO anyway), but I feel like I'm getting mixed gouge about pilot service commitment. So you're basically saying that BDCP SNFO's and helos SNA's incur the same length of service obligation except for the slight discrepancy in the time required to earn their respective wings?

Regardless, thanks for all the feedback. From what I gather from all the posts, there seems to be a consensus that there is no difference in the required service years for an NFO regardless of commissioning source.

It sounds like nowadays that helo and fixed wing pilots have 8 years.
