It depends on what your career track was. If you spent your career upstairs, that may be true. Personally, with the exception of being a Safety and AO DH, I spent both my JO and DH time downstairs, and while I don't have the knowledge of a LDO, I could at least lead with credibility.
(And I could also call BS on the Wing when they would play their reindeer games).
