Like most, my mom balled! She cried for like 3 days straight. But she knew it was coming. When I was 15 I met a recruiter, and have contemplated joining since. So after 10 years, I decided it was time. My uncle was a Naval field corpsman for the Marines in Vietnam. He survived, but has had some ROUGH times since. That was my moms view of the Marines since. My dad was in the Army. He wasnt disappointed, but was nervous b/c of the times. Now they are both behind me 100% and would do anything to help me get there. My mom is all proud now that all these people tell her how cool it is her son wants to be an officer.
