Couple more. Both Seiko 6138 movements.

- Silver one is a 6138-0010 UFO. Dated April 1972, it was my Dad's. He passed in 1994. I got it restored a couple of years ago and it works great.
- Brown/gold one is a 6138-0040 Bullhead. Dated Nov 1976. Bought it this past January from the guys who restored Dad's.

I try to wear them at least once a week to work.

Eeewwww….I don’t trust airline pilots…intolerant of other cultures, except the Dutch…but the thought of sticky controls is too much!

BONUS PIC…it’s also EMI Tuesday back at the office [EMI = extra military instruction = flashbacks to AOCS]…see red arrow below…

So it’s Speedy Tuesday [see my 3861 on my left wrist below] and I’m at the USNA for the first time…currently on a long layover in BWI. So I show up and say I want some snappy salutes since I’m an extremely important [and good looking] former O3 [see my old mil ID card in my right hand below]. So they tell me I’ll get no salutes and I’ll receive demerits [and EMI] for going to a loser college [see my ratty t-shirt below] that has no football team and because I went through a third tier commissioning source [AOCS].

WTFO?

A new X-33. For those future Mars missions.

Wonder who will be the first Mars squadron to do a group buy?

On this Speedy Tuesday, the anniversary of the official launch of the space race, (Rooskies sending Sputnik into orbit 65 years ago), I present the official Apollo program press kit from Omega.

Am I the only one who thinks they're cheapening the brand a bit with all these variants?

Any news on the custom Speedster from Hook? Was hoping for an Omega booth and some details but didn't come across anything.

It was great to see IWC there, they had an awesome booth.

Haven't heard anything there but I've heard rumors of a Tudor GMT with a custom caseback.

I am OK with OMEGA variants. I am still trying to process the logic of this "variant".

Only the other day I saw an article about how hard it is to buy a Speedmaster, let alone an Omega, due to all the variants. Paralyzed by overchoice.
