Sinn !! ?Opinions on this one are...well..like...you know what. You'll get lots and none are as important as yours. I used to be a huge fan of Breitling but honestly, have seen many others that I think are more elegant...something thats important to me in a watch I'll give to my kids.
The more I look, the more I tend to see the wisdom of one of the <ahem> more experienced members of the board...and am tending towards a Rolex. I'm also a big fan of Sinn however...we'll see.
Good luck and congratulations.
I don’t think @mad dog knew this!Sinn !! ?
Omega is owned by The Swatch Group, which also manufactures Blancpain, Tissot, Longines, Rado and Breguet, amongst others, if that matters to anyone.

I don’t know the cost of the individual movement, case, dial, hands and band. I disassembled (then re-assembled) this watch movement at a three day “build-a-watch” school held at the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute under the instruction of three AWCI certified watchmakers. The watch was provided at the school and we had the option to purchase it when we completed re-assembling it...the cost of the entire watch was $300 at the school...the cost of the school itself was $600...therefore, in reality, the watch cost me $900.Just out of curiosity, if I had the time and ability ( which I don't ) how much did the parts cost to build this watch?
