Which watch?

Might as well shell out the bucks for one of these...I tried it on yesterday while buying the devil woman a new bracelet. I wasn't too keen on the rubber band, but the watch is definitely good looking. Affordable, for a breitling, too...

Already have a Breitling Chrono Superocean very similar to that. Really looking for something simpler like the Sinn or maybe

I played with one last week on a cruise. It is pretty sharp (and looks sharp) and comes with in ti with a ti band also. It functioned very well and worked as advertised and the settings were accurate. I would have gotten one on the spot if the money weren't an issue... but then again, if the money weren't an issue...

I also had my eyes on a TAG, and between the 2 I would have gone Tissot.

The Sinn is nice and rugged; they make fantastic watches at an excellent price point (I would love to have the 757 UTC or any of their fliegers like the 103s or 356s). And IWC is one of the best Swiss manufacturers out there, their whole Pilot line is nice (again, would love to pick up a 3717 chrono).

Herc beat me to it, but I love the Fortis watches. I love this style, super basic yet classy, and it gets the job done. I'm sporting one, only with the 24 hour dial.

Herc, thanks for the suggestions. I really like the Glashutte but its a little more than I want to spend. Went with a Stowa. Unfortunately it won't arrive for a couple months. Going to have to work hard not to pick something else up while I'm waiting.

Thanks to HercDriver, I'm not torn between a Steinhart or a Stowa. I just wonder if my wrist can support a 47mm case....

I ordered one of these yesterday. The people at Chris Ward were awesome to deal with. I paid for it yesterday and it was in the mail the same day. Everything I read about the brand and watch was very positive... and the price is awesome. It's a 44mm, which is a bit larger than what I want, but I like the looks a lot and swapping the band is no issue, and won't cost you 500$ like with some other brands.

I've heard good things about the brand; their interpretation of the B-Uhr is very sharp, and they are one of the few British-based watch makers around.

I love the dial on that watch (the type B, some call it), but 47mm is insane. Whatever floats your boat, but i'll bet your left wrist will be able to catch up to the size of the right wrist with that big clock strapped to it.

I like both of those types of dials, but prefer a more sterile dial with no writing like the Stowa...and I think the Stowa has an exhibition caseback (yep, it is cool to see the gears whirring in the movement IMO), and it was one of the 5 original manufacturers.

Yeah, Stowa makes a really nice watch and I dig that style; simple, clean and love the blued hands. Also, the watches have history. One day I would love to get a Stowa with the upgraded COSC movement, or a Laco.

Yeah, the 47mm has been holding me back (and the money, but that's an easy fix, did i really need that new driver?). My current watch, a Hamilton Qne, is 44mm and looks fine, but it's not like I have oversized wrists.

Laco has a similar one that is only 42mm, but the blue hands are sharp. I guess I'm just going to have to manage my expectations on this one.

Thanks for the pic...I'm pretty much a "fleet average" guy and that's about what I'd exepct a 47mm watch to look like. I may have to head down to the local jewelry store for a test fit, but I think that 44 might be the upper end of the limit for me.
