I was also thinking that if they really wanted to test our "combat fitness", it should be one continuous event..... something like run the obstacle course, throw a few grenades, movement under fire, do the ammo re-supply, then fireman carry your buddy to safety.

The PowerPoint brief detailing the upcoming changes is attached.

That's drastically different from the Combat Physical Readiness Test I saw promulgated from the MACE, which they claimed to be replacing the PFT(1mi run, 1min knees to elbows, standing broad jump, 300m shuttle run, 1min pushups, 1min squats, all in boots & utes). Are there two Combat "Tests" under development?

Not that I know of but I also don't know what MACE stands for.

Sounds like Crossfit really is invading USMC fitness training. There has been a couple of articles published in the Crossfit Journal about a lot of it.

I must be the dumbest Captain in the Marine Corps...... what is a Combat Conditioning Test?

It's not a Marine Corps-wide thing, just a course we came up with as an interim functional fitness test (shamelessly stolen from the OCS Combat Readiness Test), because a Major had an idea.
