Would you recommend that I retake the ASTB?

Lighting_II

SNA Applicant
So I am working on improving and changing my package since I did not get selected for SNA for the recent September board. My current plan is to update that I actually finished my masters degree and get different letters of recommendation.

My ASTB is 52 7 9 8

Combined GPA 2.65

Master's GPA 3.70

Undergrad GPA not exactly sure since the quarter GPA was converted to semester GPA but I was told it was around 2.2

I am also open to getting some kind of civilian license/certification and even getting an associates degree to boost the GPA. Honestly I am a bit weary about taking the ASTB again since there is the risk that I can get lower scores. I do not want to risk it since from my understanding the 7 9 8 is good but the OAR could use some work. Also, sorry for those who have seen my post on the Sept thread since I have asked a similar question in the past.

Why are you posting / asking this again assuming others have answered your question?

What did your officer recruiter say?
I have asked people if I had a chance but never if I should retake the ASTB. Just the wording is similar to my post in one of the threads so I was just apologizing.

Also, he has been neutral saying my scores are good but a retake is risking a lower score. Basically the vibe that I am getting is that my recruiter was expecting I was going to accept the SNFO offer. Even though I never communicated to him that I wanted SNFO on my package or showed interest in that designator.

Fair. Check out the spreadsheet which has stats to see where you stack, including with a masters degree on hand now.

You have a 9 for PFAR, you can't do any better, if you were my applicant I would say apply again and maybe your recently acquired Masters degree might help, based on what I see it is your GPA that would be holding you back if you don't get picked up next time.
