25JAN21 PILOT/NFO BOARD

Hahaha that’s bad. I feel your pain though. Standing there in your underwear while everyone’s staring at you getting measured haha humbles you real quick!

I was in the afternoon group. Well we had to wait on this kid who could not piss while the doc was watching him. So we were sitting in the freezing room in our underwear for a good 45 minutes. By the time we had to do the movement exercises I was completely frozen and had no flexibility. Glad that is over.

It’s the little things that we have to prepare for. Haven’t even looked into this yet ?

Yah, on days with steaks or fried chicken are going to be a beach. plus, there is a ten step order sequence to eating. You do not just get to eat as fast as you want. On a 12 minute timer.

We were all standing in a line to get weighed and the Doc had all the medical histories in front of him on the table, he called me up and picked up my manila folder and dropped it on the table because it was so heavy... I said "Sorry, I have a big package". That made his day, he laughed pretty hard.

From what I've heard they don't do the "eat by the numbers" thing anymore. I think they stopped because people weren't getting enough nutrition in Phase 1
That’s good! I saw a video about that and it looked ridiculous... I kind of understand why they did it but still stupid lol

I literally was talking to someone on watch this morning that just graduated OCS in December. He said you just eat for 12 minutes. No games, no holding the book, no cadence bites....

Seriously! That is great news. That would honestly have ruined my chow experience. I like my chow.

That is great I feel like stories like that, no one would understand unless you have been to meps. Feel like that can be said about this application process and later OCS. Will always be one of those things you tell people about and they only truly understand if they were there too.

One thing I will never forget for meps was having to turn around and bend over.... Scarred forever ??
