How does everyone’s communication go with your recruiters? Do they usually respond promptly? I’m on my second recruiter, and while they have both been really nice, they don’t really respond. I’ve had the most success calling but things are still moving slow.

For example, last week I figured out none of my medical documents have been submitted to MEPS yet.

I know this whole process is “hurry up and wait” but it seems kind of odd that my lasik documents haven’t been submitted. Does it take time for recruiters to do that?
My old recruiter got into a pretty nasty car accident, so he’s been in the hospital for the last few months. Before that, he was usually pretty prompt with getting back.

My new recruiter is his boss, and he gets back to me usually within a few hours. After seeing others struggle to even get in touch with their recruiter, on top of other issues, I consider myself on the lucky side to have gotten two solid guys helping me out.

Seems like that is the norm. My recruiter straight up told me "if you think i've forgotten about you, I probably did". With that said, how did you get a second recruiter? It was the biggest pain to even get a response from my first. Seems like trying to switch would put you back a couple months worst case scenario.

My old recruiter changed assignments so I was handed off to a new one. Definitely not trying to switch, especially if it will end up the same situation!

This is similar to what happened to me. My first recruiter ended up getting out of the Navy about a month after I was assigned to him. He was decent at responding and assisting with questions. Can't say the same about the recruiter I was handed off to, not nearly as good as the first. He was new to the recruiting scene because according to my prior, I was his first applicant. He usually responded to my texts/emails within 2 weeks. One time he went a whole month with no contact and I had to find someone to get ahold of him by using the Live Chat on the Navy's website lol (feel like I shouldnt have to do that). Turned out he was on leave but didn't relay that information to me. This guy ended up changing assignments and left the recruiting office, handing me off to a third recruiter.

All that being said, this led me to the recruiter I'm currently working with. Really awesome guy, super helpful and knowledgeable, his responses are timely, usually within the hour or the next morning at the latest and it seems like he definitley knows what he's doing and has a handle on deadlines and what needs to be done.

I'd say if you're not happy with your current recruiter and the way they operate, you can always request a new one.

Paperwork/waivers do take time though and they probably have like 5-10 other applicants they're working with at the same time as you so, keep that in mind.
That’s quite the journey lol, but I’m glad you have a good one now. My recruiter actually just got back to me, looks like my stuff is now at MEPS. So time to wait!

Communication with my OR has been pretty solid for the most part. I know he's a busy guy because he's an Admin Reservist and a State Trooper. He's very quick and to the point when he answers. I've been working with him for over a year now.

I did a retest for the ASTB for my 3rd and final time yesterday so I can upgrade my packet for this board. I was a non-select for SNFO on the May board.

Yep if I get the flag letter, I will be ISPP. My CO endorsed my flag letter, im just waiting to see if the flag wants to endorse me. Hopefully he does. But if not I hope the board sees my new scores and my 2nd application as improvement and gives me a pro rec Y

If going ISPP you didn't need to retake
