I'm thinking specifically aviation though. Because if this did turn into a war, if China did invade Taiwan and Biden went balls to the wall to be the big brother and protect them... I'm sure China would retaliate on the Pacific fleets and that war would be mainly air and naval superiority.
That is a thought-provoking reply that I don't know the answer to. All I know is that the Navy has a lot of aircraft, and a lot of pilots that can take care of business. I doubt that aviation officer accessions will be affected nearly as much as one would think because they have a such a long training pipeline. However, I could be wrong because a lot of people with questionable stats got selected during the surges in Iraq and Afghanistan, or even the Vietnam War.

Hello all,

Obviously I’m new here so be easy on me. Currently finishing up my commissioning package to submit with you fine folks. I will be utilizing the Navy’s new Program Authorization “100F” if anyone has heard of this or has any feedback on it please reach out or respond.

I look forward to chatting with all of you. Furthermore, if you have any questions about Naval Aviation in general please ask away. I’ve been Flying Navy for over a decade. Just looking to pull on the sticks instead of yell about checklists!

A quick Google search gave me this link: https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Porta...SPP_Nov-2021.pdf?ver=OV617fsNZZOnBoBGzvV5lA==

If I’m reading it right, this looks like the In-Service Procurement Program (ISPP) that some people are doing. Basically, it’s a program through which active duty personnel can become commissioned as officers.

it is pretty simple, if you meet the requirements of the specific designator you want to apply to that is listed in the ISPP then you apply via the PA and you will be selected.

Let’s all take a moment and and thank maze for this, some pretty sweet stuff you’re doin!

Thought this would be neat to share! Was invited out to be a DV on the Roosevelt a few years back, spent the night at sea and witnessed it all first hand, definitely solidified my dream for naval aviation! Do I get to count this as my first trap even though I was a passenger…?

side note: the c-2 really is a flying tin can
