I will say this though, if you’re qualified for the Air Force, the ANG is the best kept secret in the military. You also go to OTS knowing what you’re going to fly before even getting to flight school.

the ANG also wants applicants who have a handful of flight experience. Those in the unit will also be looked at first too for a pilot slot if they apply. Chances of selection are a lot smaller with the ANG

Usually just a PPL. Also it depends on the unit if it prefers to higher within. Many actually prefer to hire off the street. But yeah usually only 1-2 slots per board. Rushing is pretty much a must

I’m assuming all of us want to be active duty and do this as our full time job anyway. I was just stating that if you can get an ANG job it’s an incredible gig

Just to be crystal clear a lot of ANG fighter guys have to start out full time for a few years. Then have the option to go traditional. Heavy guys don’t have that luxury afaik.

When you taking it? I'm taking mine on the 7th of September. Hoping to walk out of the testing room and submit that day.

I'm going 31 Aug, I've been studying for like a week already. The first time I took it I studied for like a day lol
