Not to mention had a baby with him conceived before they were engaged. Look, I’m a shitty Catholic, but I love someone showing up on TV wearing a giant cross necklace immediately after all that.
I recall saying something similar about me not being a "good catholic" to CAG 7 chaps on our 06-07 Ike cruise, to which he tongue and cheek responded, " is there really such thing as a good catholic".... 💀

I’m just trying to understand your position. The NYT leans left, but has a high factuality rating in general. Do you think they’re so far left that they’d deliberately lie just to rain on 47’s parade? If they were misled, do you think the “low level scum” who leaked it is the one trying to rain on his parade?

I’m not trolling—but it seems to me the preliminary BDA implied a lot of the equipment was deep enough that it can be dug out and dusted off in a few months. Separately, it seems the 60% enriched uranium likely was moved before the strike.

Karoline Leavitt’s statement seems to indicate the initial assessment assessment exists as reported to me, but I could be wrong.

Are we seeing the same set of facts?

WSJ has a similar article, so can’t blame this on NYT liberalism.

I’m a Catholic convert from Protestantism (Methodist to be specific but my parents are of an evangelical flavor of Methodism) so it to this day amuses me the cultural differences in accepting the fact that one is a sinner. Both traditions obviously recognize that we are all sinners, but how we express that belief varies sooooooooo much!

X2…are you retired yet?
While I suppose that I can overlook you not knowing that Leavitt and her husband enjoy a stomach-churning 32 year age delta, Tulsi and Trump haven’t exactly been aligned on the Iran nuke issue, and some reporting suggests that she was shut out of the decision making process on the strike.

Is the "half your age + 7" no longer a cultural norm? It generally works...but to @CommodoreMid 's point, it's tiring to see her with the oversized cross necklace spewing bs in a sneering manner. She's obviously won the Mar-a-Lago Olympics...good for her.

If we’ve learned anything during the past few years, it’s that all conservative values are a facade to the acquisition of political power. Abortion bad… until you knock up your mistress, etc, etc.

They just want to control what other people do while having the freedom to do whatever they want. They'd prefer a return to the simple life of 1825 America to shun any type of progressive movement of the last 100 years.

If public libraries, and parks, and the interstate highway system were modern concepts, Republicans would do everything they could to kill them.

OK…yeah, I don’t waste my time following the lives of WH spokespeople, so my failure there.

As for the Tulsi/Trump issue, when you consider how Trump governs it is hard to tell when he is really pissed off at someone. Lincoln had his Team of Rivals, Trump has a Team of Targets. He constantly tosses his “allies” under the bus but eventually turns around to help them up. I’ll agree this is a bit different (more of a freeze than an insult fest) so I question if the rift is lasting. If it lasts, then I a, wrong and I can live with that.

Grizz is in the cult, he just hides it better than most, hoping to maintain the illusion of credibility, but his true colors always shine through the cracks.
No, he is not.

How did F. Scott Fitzgerald put it? “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.” You should try it one day, it will help you succeed in your future endeavors.

Trying to pin it on a “low-level loser” seems to be one of the dumber efforts to discredit.
Chelsea Manning was a private, sure glad being low ranking stopped damage from happening

There is (more likely was) an axiom in journalism that if a story required one or two anonymous sources it should not be published because of potential bias. The accepted number is (was) closer to five or six. So, I instinctively question any story that doesn’t name a single source by name. Across the news world there are plenty of experts talking about known, unknowns, and possibilities and I find their analysis more thoughtful and balanced especially when they tell their audience about the limits of their knowledge.

Now, do I believe Trump when he said it was “totally obliterated?” Absolutely not, he is known for his bombast and over-glorification of anything he touches. Do I trust the New York Times…no. Sure, I’ll say the NYT has a leftward tilt but their errors of fact, swinging left and right, going back to 2000 caused me to lose trust in the paper. As I noted, I imagine the truth is somewhere between Trump’s bombast and the NYTs use of anonymous sources.

I suspect when all the dust settles, we’ll have damaged their equipment, not destroyed everything, and much of the enriched uranium will still be there, largely due to it being moved beforehand.

Iran can still work on developing a nuke- albeit perhaps at a slower pace- and we’ve given them another reason to keep trying. To say nothing of continuing to pump up their proxies in the region. So what did we really accomplish here?

Arguing Leavitt’s credibility vs. the NYT is an exercise in futility. Both regularly lie to serve their own interests.
