NEWS US involvement in Iran

Also amazing was that apparently the particular bomb used was designed explicitly for the purpose of destroying the Fordow site.
What’s really interesting to me is the use of OSINT and (to some degree) the media that followed the coverage of this conflict. Between the intentionally deceptive use of assets and public messaging to keep everybody guessing, it amazes me what our force is capable of.

It also seems like just two weeks ago nobody knew what a MOP was, last week there were calls for its use, and then it was used. Makes me wonder to what degree the DOD intentionally drives public discussion, or if we simply capitalize on existing public dialogue for tactical advantages.
I have read a theory that a lot of the UFO sightings and belief among former military pilots about UFOs and so forth has been a purposely-driven conspiracy created by the military so as to hide the existence of actual top-secret technologies they've been testing, because better for everyone to be convinced it is E.T. than capabilities our military has.

I watched this unfold in real time on Twitter, as one of the OSINT dudes was “reporting” on the westbound gaggle out of Whiteman, assuring everyone that this was absolutely the Iran bound strike package… squawking away, devil may care. Zero clue how anything works in the real world. Smart to exploit the potential spoilers like that.

It would be super helpful (enlightening) if some of these OSINT twitter warriors published their credentials. For the most part, it's just folks who have more time than most to dig deeper into Wikipedia end notes, then try to pass their "analysis" off as expertise to an otherwise ignorant public/media.

These are the same people as a younger family member of mine who basically hangs out on reddit full-time to reveal UFOs. They get a slight chub by self stimulating themselves into thinking they know some secret that others don't. Kinda like the cultists that are starting to make up the majority of our neighbors. Post-reality world. Welcome, we've been waiting for you. "Not what I saw Paddles"

It is funny that these dudes think our strategic bombers are going to show up on some flight tracking website...and that monitoring pizza deliveries to the Pentagon has cracked the code.

haha yeah exactly. It would be like explaining why we can't participate in ADS-B in tactical airplanes. Yeah, we just don't turn that shit on for obvious reasons dumb ass.

The funny thing about the pizza deliveries to the Pentagon is it is based on a real thing. Back in 1991 a reporter who lived across the highway from the five-sided-war-hut noticed a big uptick in pizza deliveries and told his boss something was brewing…two days later ODS was launched. Ever since then it has been a running joke.

These goobers really are the worst - also, calling yourself an “OSINT” this or that simply because you like watching ADS-B tracks is something of a joke..

Also PSA for anyone here who owns a plane: there are now two electronic tools (thanks Elon?) that allow you to remove your home address from being tied to your registration as well as removing your ADS-B track from the consumer facing websites. It is relatively fast to do and worth every damn second it takes to claw back a little bit of privacy.

"What ADSB?" says the owner of a 1946 aircraft with no certified electrical system. Also sport the 3 inch registration numbers on the tail cone under the horizontal stab. May as well be a 80 Kt B-2 :) .

Conspiracy theory types always like to think they have some special, secret knowledge about things that no one else has, that only they see "the truth" and that everyone else is blind.

I have also heard it called the "five-sided puzzle piece."
I thought it was "five-sided puzzle palace"?
