Right, again, submit with your current score. Also, talk to an officer recruiter and politely drop your current enlisted recruiter (No burning bridgesThank you for your posts. I was trying to submit with my current score however, the recruiter I have will not submit me because he said my ASTB scores were too low. What should I do to get submitted before I retake a third time?
). Call the number at the end of this post and they will find your closest officer recruiter and inform you of it. Just get all your documents in order and take them with you when you meet with your OR (officer recruiter). You should be able to submit fairly soon: probably in time for the October boards, which results you would get back mid-late October. You won't make any (or at least much) progress with the enlisted recruiter. Unless you want to go the enlisted to officer route. You need to be mindful of the age limitations though: as an enlisted Sailor, you do get extension waivers, but there are still limits.Yes, the local recruiter is enlisted. However, I am dealing with an officer recruiter a couple of towns away. However, ever since I met him. He is difficult to reach and I always have to travel there. I do not mind going there, however, it seems as if we never get anything accomplished. Also, he is also in Grad school right now and warned me that he is really busy!
As for October, the submittal date has already passed. The deadline was September 25th, 2009. But again, that is according to the officer recruiter. Last Thursday, I went there will all hopes I would at least get submitted but no. At the last minute he called to inform me, I could not submit.
Question: I have tried to contact my officer recruiter to ask him this but no luck ~ What happens after I submit, if I am not selected? Am I eligible to submit for the following board after retaking the ASTB. Or how does that work? Because if I have to wait six months or better to re-apply then, I may want to hold off.
Thank you for your time.

By your enlisted recruiter, or by your officer recruiter? Have you contacted your OR since the last time you posted in September, and how (email, phone, person)?... I am being told that I will not make it and that it is a waste of time in submitting me. ...
If all else fails, search for a similar thread or start a thread (if your search didn't work) in the Paths to a Commission, Questions about becoming a Naval Officer, or the Navy OCS forums about this problem and to see if there are other avenues you can take to become an officer candidate. You would get much better and more knowledgeable replies in those forums, imo. You do need to keep in mind that your OR will write a letter about their opinion on you so do show initiative.
