Another nail in the coffin of Old-School Naval Avaition..

Sounds like the answer given at Tailhook was the same answer given to the same question to NHA 6 months ago right after the message was released. Wouldn't hold my breath on anything changing. Why we would want to give up squadron identity to look like the Air Force is beyond me. But then again why we continue to change uniform policy when we don't have a good aircraft/ship procurement plan and are cutting operational squadron/ship/unit manpower while growing staffs and bureaucracy is beyond me also.
 
The LAST thing that this effort needed was an article in Navy Crimes. That populist, pandering and egalitarian rag will be filled with letters next week explaining how f'd up all us "airedales" are.
 
Bahahaha. We are special and they are still just angry shoes. Pissing them off keeps the world turning, and if we can get something out of it, that's even better.

BTW, does master know he is infamous on sailorbob, too?
 
In general, SB is a decent-to-good resource for technical discussions of big navy stuff along with some things that are applicable to all URL folks. Not sure where their hate and discontent for even lurking non-SWOs comes from, but whatever.
