Is your tattoo in navy regulation? If it is than you are good, they don't change the rules for officers.Anyone know about getting a waiver for a tattoo on the forearm if one was to be selected???
The Website said I did, but I had an NOB count as one of them. This time around I submitted 5 oberserved/1 NOB for a total of 6 evals. That is what we are suppose to do right? When you checked your package status last year did it still say that they had received all 5 evals?
I am in the Surface Community but it seems this forum has a lot of useful info. I have applied for the Nurse Corps Option. I have my AA in Health Services Administration, 7 classes left in my BS in Public Health, and am attending San Diego State for my BS in Nursing. I sent my degree plan and my acceptance letter in with my package. I saw a question earlier about additional documents. I submitted 33. I hope it wasn't to much. lol. Good luck everyone!
Yes. From 1420.1b (Ch. 8): "Certified copies of the last five "observed" enlisted evaluations, if available. “Not-Observed” evaluations should be included for continuity purposes."The Website said I did, but I had an NOB count as one of them. Well it's nice to kind of see some of the "competition". Not many people apply for the med corps since it is pretty much a life commitment. I have my AA degree. My LOR's are pretty conventional. I have one from the Base skipper, Flight surgeon, Physics teacher and a Divo.He is an AWV. He had help from a some officers in his command who went through the program. He has his AS already. But for the LOR's he was told to go "outside the box" for them.
Not a d*mn thing you can do now but sit back and enjoy the ride. At this point you've done everything you can do, so sit here and troll this website and enjoy it.That is what I would have done IF I had caught it earlier. I just called the STA21 office though and was told that if there were NO notes in the comment area then everything was good to go. I still just wish I didnt have that hanging over me right now, otherwise I think I'd be much more relaxed.
I don't care as long as my name is on it lol..Which message do we think it's going to be? I'm going with 322/11 ...
I have not seen my package, except for my CO's recommendation - which I wrote. The copy of the package they sent to Pensacola came back with a copy of the recommendation letter. It was mostly the same but he added his own personality to it. Overall I was impressed that he sent it up the way that I had envisioned it going up. Very positive letter. Here's a question for the group:
- Who here has actually seen there package? I.E C.O's endorsement and appraisel sheets?
- Did anyone have to write a rough draft if there own C.O's recommendation letter?
Just wondering because one I've seen it done both ways....
I envy you for seeing how it went up (You're right, you're not supposed to see it). It's hard not knowing what was written about you by the CO, and seven other senior Officers that could very well determine your future.I have seen my package (Don't think your supposed to though), They allowed me to make sure It was good to go before they mailed it in . I wrote my CO's endorsement, He completely changed it. It had more class when he was done with it.
