I bet if you pulled someone in your admin department aside and asked them nicely, they might let you see it. Your admin should have made a copy of it for their records.I envy you for seeing how it went up (You're right, you're not supposed to see it). It's hard not knowing what was written about you by the CO, and seven other senior Officers that could very well determine your future.
I'm in a training command ... there is no military in that office. Hmm, I may have just answered my own question, thanks for the idea.I bet if you pulled someone in your admin department aside and asked them nicely, they might let you see it. Ahahaha... I'm reading your mind! I was in HSM-40, a training command also.I'm in a training command ... there is no military in that office. Hmm, I may have just answered my own question, thanks for the idea.
Thats good that you got to see it also. I can honestly say that other than signing my request chit, my CCC had absolutely nothing to do with my package. All the guidance I received was from the wardroom. It is nice to have the support of the Officers though. My CCC made a copy of my whole package before sending it out and allowed me to see it in it's entirety after the original was gone. My CO improved upon his letter that I wrote for him but it was mostly unchanged. I also got to see all my interview sheets which between the two made me feel pretty confident that I put in as good of an application as possible.
Now that it's October I'll slowly be driving myself crazy until the results come out. I'm anxious to see and hopeful, however I'm not getting my hopes up too much.
All my guidance was done with an EDO at my command and he hooked me up with a Captain (also an EDO) who helped me get plenty of other EDOs for my boards. My CCC did the admin portion of the package once I submitted it but little else. He was helpful in getting my Evals in order, etc...Thats good that you got to see it also. That's one thing that really turned me on to this community actually. I have always wanted to be an engineer, but the EDO's that I have dealt with have all but stood on their head's to help me out in any way that they could. I'm very impressed with the comraderie they exhibit. All my guidance was done with an EDO at my command and he hooked me up with a Captain (also an EDO) who helped me get plenty of other EDOs for my boards. I have lots of ED Officers that helped me out not to mention the two Admirals that wrote me LOR were both EDO's as well. Heck, even my father was an EDO (which is why I know so many of them).
Nice...So you should be as good as gold! What options you go for?I saw my package and wrote my CO's endorsement. it really didnt change to much. All the officers that sat my boards and my CCC kept a copy of my package as a model. Drafted my LORs too.
Nurse. The main college I selected was SDSU, and I am already attending. Had strong endorsements from my command and from the Nurse Corps Officers that chaired my board from Balboa Naval Hospital. So we will see..Nice...So you should be as good as gold! What options you go for?
Sweet dude! So what insight did the Officer who sat on the board give you?? I'm clueless to what goes on in that place and how they go about picking the lucky candidates!I saw my entire package before it was sent out. I guess being part of a tight knit submarine crew has its advantages. My divo helped me out by writing the CO endorsement. One of my external board members was on the STA-21 selection board last year, so I couldn't have asked for a better write up.
