are you watching message traffic or just npc...i left the office for the day so no more message traffic for me. have a good weekend everyone.
I cannot watch message traffic, so I am just watching npc. I'm at a joint command, so no message traffic for me.

Don't forget about the 327! A better motor than the 350 in my opinion (not to mention it's a lower number)!
I actually did think about the 327. I don't agree that it's better, but to each their own. I have a 383 in my muscle car. :)

I have no idea. I am at an AF base, I don't know if that makes a difference.
no it doesnt. it is available in public folders in outlook. the mapping should be something like...

public folders/all public folders/usn/"your server"/"your command"/ then play around with the folders to see if you can find one that says something like "all hands message traffic" or something to that effect.

you should be able to see other command mapping as well, so you can try and find your previous command too.

my mapping is

PF/APF/USN/PAXR/NTWL/VX20/ALL HANDS

its only about 30mins to an hour prior to NPC, but after hours (1630ish) it is there all night until NPC opens in the morning.

can you razz in from home? (do you have a cac reader?)

I'm in Hawaii so I'll give it a try before I head home today. I'm thinking we won't see it this week anymore though.

sweet man. it took me a while to find my mapping. you could just ask the YN or PS who gets your command msg traffic to send you your specific mapping to save you time....i found that out last year after i had already found mine.

Yea also if you go to all public folders and looking bupers in pcla or pnsa or whatever for pensacola you'll see NETC and under that is a sta-21 folder, it's not accessible though I tried :(

Just got the new Navy Times in the mail... Not what you wanna see on the cover lol... here is what is in there about the aviation community.

"At worst, according to a recent doomsday projection by House Armed Services Committee Republicans, the Navy could lose 50 ships, more than 7 percent of the force and the carrier variant of the F-35 Lightning II joint strike fighter."

"The triservice F-35 is on nearly everyone's potential spending-cut list. Crenshaw said he thinks the Pentagon should "pick a version and everybody gets it'" But he also thinks the program is too far along to simply cut, particularly given allied purchase commitments. "

"In the aviation arena, readers advocated killing the problem plagued F-35 joint strike fighter - or, at a minimum, eliminating the Marines' vertical-landing-capable variant - and buying more proven F/A - 18E/F Super Hornets."

Now this has been chopped and para-phrased so please read it for yourselves, just wanted to give you guys and gals the scoop! And besides this is all speculation, no one knows anything yet...2011-10-14_15-47-29_943.jpg

Well that doesn't seem like bad news for the NFO applicants, since the F-35 was a single seater!
It has to be tough for the upper chain to keep the NFO numbers in the fleet accurate with this delay and the Prowler to Growler swap, and all the delays that have plagued that as well.

Found my mapping however no such luck. Nothing in there that I can see.

Well, I analyzed past NFO data and I've come up with 22 slots for this year. Let's see how accurate that is.

I wonder how many NFO applicants there are? That's a great number but seems like a lot, I haven't done the research have there been that many slots for one program?
