July 2013 and/or Rolling Board

Pro-Rec NO for SWO...just got the call...I'm fine with that because I wouldn't have taken it over Supply anyway and don't wanna deny someone else a pro Y...my Chief said selection was around 18% as a few others have pointed out....congrats to those who got selected for one of their designators and good luck to those who didn't, if its what you want don't give it up!

As per the standard selection post, here are my stats:

OAR:58 (I know I got 5/6/6 but not in what order for the ASTB).
GPA:3.2 Biology B.S. (3.25 in major) & Psychology B.S.(3.78 in major) Virginia Tech 2013.
(^Dual Degree, not double major).
Three times Dean's List.
9 LOR (1 O-4, multiple professors from Dean to Assistant Professor).
MEPS: NOV, 2012.
Treasurer of Three clubs, Fencer in HS and College, Multiple leadership organizations throughout college.

Congrats my fellow SWO select
 
Someone said it was around 200 selects and 70 non selects...however I have a feeling that many of the them were also pilot selects which seems to almost always be followed by an NFO select...so for those of us applying NFO only I don't think the selection rate was that great....
 
Has SWO always been this much more competitive than SNA? I always thought more would go for SNA... Or is that just totally ignorant and presumptuous of me?
