I wanted to join airforce but they were complete jerks to me. I weigh 188 with a max weight of 181 BUT I have 16% body fat. They wanted me to be 175 before they even talked to me.
My USAF OR sucked as well. I emailed him 2 weeks before my AFOQT to see if there were any closer locations, instead of driving 2 hours and checking out a hotel for a night. I asked him for study materials, I get a empty email response. After I took my test, I found out that there was a AFOQT that was just held at the ROTC detachment at my school. Make a long story short, I took the two other people that were taking the exam with to the Navy with the same OR, lol. One is waiting on Civil Engineering results and other had to get medical waivers for pilot.

Don't know about you guys, but it's Navy fly or die for me. I won't be going back to USAF...not after being more educated like I am now :p

I grabbed a few from the USAF OR, and the enlisted guys at one of the recruiting stations I would visit said one of the best USN recruiters in that area was the USAF recruiter, he treated applicants like crap, he forgot the rule that you always be respectful to people as you never know who that guy in civilian clothes is.

I am, I go to Colorado State and grad in May.

Nice man. Graduated from MSU last May, started putting my package together right after that but, still missed the December board. I've been working with Michele and like most processors shes been great.

Cool! I did a year at metro in the aviation program and changed to biz. Are you aviation tech?

this waiting game must be the start to the maturing process as a naval officer, at least that's the only thing I can think of. Definitely making me more patient...

This week, I spent over $1200 on computer parts trying to make the time go faster by building my first computer. Did it take my mind off of waiting for the results? Not one bit.

I've literately considered the exact same thing. I've spent my days browsing "newegg.com" trying to figure out what computer parts I could piece together..... haha In the end I always find myself back on AW checking this iform
