no problem! pretty sure our BOLs won't reflect until way later. my OIC is very curious how your CO found out since no results are in BOL on the TRIAD sideHaven’t checked, I’ll check when I’m back Monday, I’m going to guess nothing is there though
One of the VP30 IPs did a staff tour in Korea before coming back as an IP, my instructor last night did a tour teaching the Aussies how to fly the P-8 as it was coming online. There are some cool opportunities but it really just depends on timingIt’s the same for P8s as the other platforms: fleet/sea tour, shore tour, disassociated all to make 8 years or so post flight school. I’ve been told many times most P8ers go drones for shore tour. And the whole point of the disassociated is to go to a boat and do Navy things so unless you get lucky and go be an admiral’s aid, there’s no getting out of it.
I was told by the PO1 at NRC that notification will populate on BOL only if it’s a PRO REC N. Not sure how true that is but I don’t bother on checking my own BOL.no problem! pretty sure our BOLs won't reflect until way later. my OIC is very curious how your CO found out since no results are in BOL on the TRIAD side
From what I've been told, to get a VT spot, you generally have to be an IP or IUT for your squadron. I believe they're also always trying to fill billets so you don't necessarily get the job you want (as is the case with most things in the Navy)I thought you can instruct t-54 or t-6 as a shore duty. Why would you not want a flying job?
TPS looking like a real nice option if you're lucky enoughIt’s the same for P8s as the other platforms: fleet/sea tour, shore tour, disassociated all to make 8 years or so post flight school. My command is on the compressed work schedule (CWS) since we work with majority civilians. Not sure if I should bother my CO on our day offno problem! pretty sure our BOLs won't reflect until way later. my OIC is very curious how your CO found out since no results are in BOL on the TRIAD side
Don’t know specifics, he just mentioned that him and CMC had an emailno problem! pretty sure our BOLs won't reflect until way later. my OIC is very curious how your CO found out since no results are in BOL on the TRIAD side
i envy you.. congrats again man!Don’t know specifics, he just mentioned that him and CMC had an email
There used to be 3, that means those 2 are very busy.there's 2 chiefs in charge of all the OCS programs right now and i dont think they touch each others stuff.
chief #1 handles: SEAL, EOD, NFO, PILOT, AVO, IWC: (OCEANO, CW, IP, INTEL, MCWO, CWE, SWO OCEANO)
chief #2 handles: SWO, SWO EDO, JAG STU, JAG DA, SUPPLY, AMDO, CEC STU, CEC DA, PAO, HR ISPP, EDO ISPP
i asked chief #2 about the SNA board process and was asked what SNA is, so i'm gonna assume chief #2 is not going to be posting our results because that is not their community
in their defense, they are busy
Not sure why the emails are going out at different times for AD. My CO got an email at the end of June and Finley’s CO just got his. I know the BM1 (now ENS) that was working with Mr. Celestine is no longer there so that may be a reason for the delayno problem! pretty sure our BOLs won't reflect until way later. my OIC is very curious how your CO found out since no results are in BOL on the TRIAD side
very busy indeed. There used to be 3, that means those 2 are very busy.

Well of course every pilot wants a flying billet. The issue is it seems about 2/3 P8 bubbs don't get it. They're not straying away by choice. Those who do go instruct at the VTs likely had a great FITREP, granting them their top 1 or 2 choice.I thought you can instruct t-54 or t-6 as a shore duty. Why would you not want a flying job?
That's awesome! It seems the deeper you get into a community the more you hear about the one-offs. I can only attest to the what IPs and friends that were prior enlisted P8 told me in Primary and Multi so my knowledge on this matter is quite broad. One of the VP30 IPs did a staff tour in Korea before coming back as an IP, my instructor last night did a tour teaching the Aussies how to fly the P-8 as it was coming online.
