For some reason I trust this guy. This has nothing to do with number of selections, that is a retention issue not an accession issue, the numbers of SNA's from OCS has remained fairly steady for over 15 years.

I also wonder since they allowed 250 people on the board compared to May's 200, does that mean they have more slots available or less?
Gotcha, I just figured that in the big picture, how many SNAs they choose to select for a fiscal year would be a function of, to some degree, how manned they currently are and project to be in the future. This has nothing to do with number of selections, that is a retention issue not an accession issue, the numbers of SNA's from OCS has remained fairly steady for over 15 years.

I'd also like to point out that I live in Virginia Beach and have to listen to jet noise literally all day, as if I didn't need MORE of a reminder of how anxious I am about all of this. Constant reminders are lovely.
Working at NASC, I can say that there is a huge waiting pool to class up.On this note, I’m choosing to believe that the big board is good news in light of covid restrictions beginning to be relaxed. My hope is that they are now prepping to blow the backup out of flight school and catch back up to the changing demand level since it wasn’t even 2 years ago they were taking almost anyone off the street for SNA due to commercial airlines robbing all of their mid-senior level talent every single year.

Do you have any gauge on how long the hold wait is between each phase of the pipeline there in Pcola???Working at NASC, I can say that there is a huge waiting pool to class up.
My buddy reported to pensacola on June 9th and is starting nife on Aug 20th. Obviously you have a bunch of tasks to complete before NIFE but his process went pretty smoothly.Do you have any gauge on how long the hold wait is between each phase of the pipeline there in Pcola???
That’s encouraging to hear. I had a buddy who graduated OCS back in Jan of 2019 and still has not gotten his wings yet. Obviously covid 2020 had a lot to do with that but it would be nice to have a normal amount of hold time between phases ?My buddy reported to pensacola on June 9th and is starting nife on Aug 20th. 1-4 months for kIFE. Friends in primary said 1-2 months and for HTs many friends waiting and already in class said 1-2 months. With that said, they also said to be ready to flex for anytime lines changes. Many factors come into play and delays always happen.Do you have any gauge on how long the hold wait is between each phase of the pipeline there in Pcola???
I do not have any active duty experience or friends who are, what is the timeline normally like between these stages? (like outside of COVID) Also from what I was reading earlier it sound like you're already there during the wait right? You're not home for this, you're in Pensacola waiting to start? Sorry I am very new to all this so I am trying to get a good idea of what to expect.1-4 months for kIFE. I can’t speak to what a normal timeline is from pre covid times, but I can say from the guys I know that after OCS, you generally go back to your home district and work with your Navy OR for a time doing OHARP as a butter bar until you get PCs orders to Pensacola. I’m not sure what OHARP entails for a brand new O-1 but I assume it’s house mouse type work. I don’t know if everyone does this or how long it lasts for everyone, but my buddies all did it for at least a couple of months before heading down to pcola to wait on a class up.I do not have any active duty experience or friends who are, what is the timeline normally like between these stages?
