OCS 02Nov20 SNA/SNFO (Pilot/NFO) Board

A Navy Chief called you? This is the first time I've heard about anything like that. Do you mind sharing with us any more details about the conversation? Or did he just tell you that there was going to be a long waiting period if you accepted?

Sound's like we're getting closer and closer to getting ProRec letters any day now.

Yes, a Navy Chief called me. He called me out of the blue and said he was following up with some of the folks who had been selected. He said I had a Pro Rec-Y and that he wanted to know if I had any questions/what my intentions were knowing that I had a OCS date of 9/2021.

So at this point it is safe to assume if you do not have a class date then you were not selected?

Your recruiter might not have told you. Unless you have been told that you were not assigned a class date; in which case I don't know what that means; don't assume you were not selected just because you haven't heard anything.

Very interesting, well thank you for giving us a heads up. Congratulations on selection by the way!

I had another member look up my name, and he didn't find anything. My recruiter has no information to give me. I'll definitely still be on the edge of my seat until we get the official news, but im certainly preparing for the worst.

A Navy Chief calling you and saying you were selected without the official results being released is bold. Did you know this person or was it unsolicited?
Well I'm glad I gave it a shot either way. I'm disappointed I won't be flying, but im still enlisting as a Nuke. Im proud to serve either way.
I'd wait until the official memo comes out to verify selection or not...

Gents, just sit back and try to preoccupy with minds with other things right. Go out and fly or go out and enjoy the last week or so of fall. Be surprised when you get the call from the recruiter. Its coming soon! Only way to stay sane right now!

Don't get discouraged, I have zero insider knowledge. Until official results come out anything is up in the air.

Has any AD heard from their commands for results? Also how are y’all looking up personnel in cantrac isn’t it just CIN and class names with quotas (no names attached)?
No, you have to go to eNTRS, select class rosters, and look up the CDP: 03W5. For convene date you can keep it as today and for the end date just select a day in 2022. It will populate all available classes for FY21. From there you can check each roster, but it appears everyone from this board was scheduled for last 4 classes.

Did you apply with a dual packet for both enlisted and officer?

The implication of your question is where a lot of my uncertainty comes from.

I applied for Officer, specifically for SNA, Intel, NFO, Cyber, SWO (in that preferential order). I was told by my recruiter that I do have an OCS date assigned. I was then told by an Active Duty AirWarriors member (@TonyWillingham) on this thread that the date my OCS slot was requested was PRIOR to the SWO board convening.

I am left to assume that my OCS slot was reserved due to a PROREC-Y from either SNA, NFO, Intel or Cyber. I just haven't been able to narrow it down further yet because I don't know when the packet submission deadlines were or when those boards met. So essentially, I'm still in the same boat as everyone else, not knowing one way or the other, lol.
