What is the difference between Pro Rec Y, Pro Rec N and Fin Sel mean Thanks!

SNA Pro-Rec Y
Pro Rec Y - Board recommends/approves you for the slot
Pro Rec N - Board does not recommend/ not approve you for the slot
Fin Sel - Board has recommended and the Navy has approved for you the slot, meaning you'll get a letter of confirmation for getting a SNA spot and an OCS date; meaning you are absolutely approved for the slot unless medical or background checks find disqualifying factors in your application

I'd fly a kite for the Navy if that was my only option...But preferably, I want to be strapped into something with a pointy nose.
I got selected for NFO...I would prefer either Growlers or Hornets
