P8s just seem like a fun aircraft/mission. I'd also rather be stationed at Jacksonville or Whidbey Island than Lemoore.

What is everyone's preference for your airframe? SNA and NFO.

Every airframe is unique in its own way, they are all pretty cool. Helos get to support hurricane relief and SAR.

But .......

I read somewhere once, you only get one chance at fighters.

If I get selected, I’d prefer to go P-8s because of the lifestyle and future opportunities, but anything would probably be cool. If anyone has any questions about the MH-60R or HSM community, let me know, I’m in the community currently.

I read somewhere once, you only get one chance at fighters.

I've also read that some classes don't even have fighters in their list of selectable airframes so that would be an interesting predicament to be in. If you had done well in the academics, and beaten classmates in the flying and then not be offered jets would be a little frustrating if someone was stuck on the idea of fighters.

Nope, I work on MQ-4C’s. I’m with VUP-19. I know some people in that community but I’m not sure if I know anyone at 40.

It went from an 8 to about a 2 after hearing nothing today.

Well, it took 6 weeks for August board - if it is same thing, that means itll be 1st or 2nd week of December.
