Applying for the BDCP Program
Age:23
GPA: 4.00 BS in Accounting (Graduate May 2026)
OAR: 49 (Just barely met IS criteria lol)
LORs: O-6, O-5, Former Manager, and Pastor

I was told they meet on March 3rd, but we won't hear back until early April. Is that correct? Would you get faster results from your recruiter or check in here? Definitely nervous about how I stack up, I hope everyone here gets selected!

Totally depends on when the results are released there’s no definite timeline. Also, if you have those stats man, you’ll be selected. If you wait till you graduate and apply for ISEL you’ll be in there no problem. I don’t see any issue with you applying for BDCP though never too early to work all angles.

I’m applying for BDCP as well! You have an amazing gpa, that is very impressive. I’m applying with a 3.5 and 55 oar but only one LOR, so i’m not sure how competitive I’ll be. Did you have to end up submitting any waivers with your packet?

I needed one med waiver but it almost instantly got approved prior to submitting the package. No other waivers required

You’re good too. Your GPA and OAR are what’s going to matter for you. The LORs are like one of the last things looked at.

Age: 36
No prior service
OAR 59
GPA 3.5 BS Business Administration
Will graduate 12/2025
No waivers other than that I have ongoing Invisalign treatment that is expected to complete right after I graduate, which was approved.

Supply’s PA says you must be eligible for commission before 37th birthday. It doesn’t say they do take age waivers, but it also doesn’t say they don’t. I’ll turn 37 before I graduate, so I submitted a request for age waiver to the board.

I’m also submitted to the March AMDO board.

Unfortunately the age requirement is non-waiverable. You must be less than 37 at the time of commissioning unless you are prior service, then the age limit is 42.
