03MAR25 Supply Corps Board

The May and June boards were cnx because all the remaining FY quotas were filled from this March board. The FY starts late Summer Fall so expect a late August to Sept next board.
Ah, thank you. That is not unreasonably far away to wait before trying enlisted. I could help an elderly family member that needs it and other stuff while I wait.

For what it’s worth to you, everyone has their opinion on enlisted or commissioned first. I’m grateful for the yrs of Navy leadership I’ve gained that will help me in my transition to commission if the opportunity presents itself. The past few years they have increased TIS and age requirements to select more experienced Sailors. Either way you go, it’s what you make your career to be.

They have actually been decreasing TIS allowed after a brief time of increasing it, the boards are looking less favorable on those with higher TIS.

Not correct, they have already been filling the FY 26 spots, in most years the current FY is filled about April, it is the April/May boards when they really start to fill the next FY. If a person is to be counted as a current FY billet they would need to be in OCS by about the 1st week of July.

If they are cancelling boards and not going to have another board until late this year that indicates a significant amount of FY 26 spots are already filled.

That lines up. I asked my recruiter when the next one is. He said the next confirmed board is meeting around December with a very low chance of one being added in the late summer. He said he will keep me posted on how the board process goes.

Ya, a lot of what is advised here is similar to what my friends and family have stated. It is useful for consideration. Upfront I have a lot of friends and family who are either retired or medically discharged enlisted. Some say "there is nothing wrong with being career enlisted regardless of education" others say "do not go enlisted if you already went through college". They all gave there reasons which made sense. Some gave their input on what branch they want me to join (i.e. my father wants me to go Air Force instead of Navy because he was a master sergeant and my grandfather was a senior master sergeant in the Air Force. Family tradition.).

Both my father and grandfather were in the Marine Corps and they are beyond happy to see me in the Navy trying to go Officer. It’s a big deal no matter what.
