MARTY TARTY
SNFO Select
I have no hopes of hearing back next week since its thanksgiving next week and people will start traveling
That's not convenient!!Would be nice to know cause I am supposed transfer in three weeks 😂
It's a semi-abusive relationship where you do some REALLY cool shit and some REALLY NOT cool shit. It evens out, but I still wouldn't trade the Navy for another employer. At least not for a long time.I like the Navy but they been making alot of changes lately that are screwing people.
You do, but you’re also doing so much at OCS and being sleep deprived waking up at 4:45 for a 0500 reveille and going to bed at 9:30-10pm that it might seem that days are catching up to you quicker than you thought. Don’t be like me who started studying Appendix B the week of RLP. I passed (somehow) but I got my ass kicked by a Chief for missing some of the knowledge.(Pray you get a Chief and not a Marine DI). Marine DI’s focus mostly on kicking your ass and will let some knowledge hits pass, and Chiefs are easier on the body but they are heavy on knowledge. The memorization is not hard, it’s getting your ass kicked, and spitting correct answers that gets most people so I highly recommend you start studying it now so you can chill the week of RLP. It only lasts about 10 minutes and in my most sincere opinion, IT’S FUN. Everything at OCS is fun if you are somewhat prepped for it. There will be a lot of yelling and screaming and intimidation but just know the Marine DI’s and Navy Chiefs are sweethearts and genuinely want to see you pass and do good. And for the love of God, please don’t be in a winter class because it fucking sucks. Newport winters hurt. I also highly recommend that you go to those Friday meetings where they serve snacks and drinks and coffee and read books. I also recommend you go to men’s bible study on Tuesday nights, not for religious purposes but you will meet captains and retired admirals who are some of the best people ever and you get to watch tv and drink shitty coffee and have amazing conversations and it’s a little getaway from OCS craziness. You will also never be more excited to see an X next to your name meaning that you have received mail from your family and girlfriends. Overall, it’s the most FUN you never want to do again.See I heard the opposite from a couple of my friends that you have plenty of time to study lol
Triad, ESO, and anyone who has BOL access. However if BOL is updated you will see what they see. Typically The process will email the triad directly before he updates BOLWho from your CoC let you know? I'm relying on XO, DH, and LCPO for now
I always preferred a DI over a chief lol. however my knowledge was good, I'm stronger at PT. I wouldn't say a chief is easier just it really depends on who you get.You do, but you’re also doing so much at OCS and being sleep deprived waking up at 4:45 for a 0500 reveille and going to bed at 9:30-10pm that it might seem that days are catching up to you quicker than you thought.
