Not yet. Does not change the fact that my point is correct. The Navy does not care about your PPL flight hours. The more of them you have, the longer it will take to get you to unlearn civilian habits and fly the way they want you to.
Your point isn’t correct at all. I keep hearing that mindset and it’s the worst gouge I’ve ever heard.

And you happen to know how? Have you sat on a proboard? Are you an IP speaking from experience? I'm not just blowing smoke and trying to convince people that I'm right. What I've said has been reverberated and confirmed by current and former students, as well as recruiters both on here and in person.

I happen to know by actual experience and not gouge (what other people are telling me). The simple answer here is: flight hours does help, with selection (depending on who’s sitting on it) and definitely in training (if you’re disciplined and open to learning). Most students don’t have previous flight hours so it’s something that they don’t really understand or can compare.

You can take it as you want and believe what you want to help you cope. Sure, you can wait til primary to get started. I also don’t see a disadvantage in someone else getting flight hours because they want to. They should want to get into aviation and grow that passion. Anyways man, hopefully you can be in my shoes someday and get selected (and do well in flight training.)

You are very passive aggressive for a 32 year old that just got selected. Good luck to you iceman hopefully one day I can be just as slick of a selectee as you!

Actually data over decades and those that have sat the board show no one cares about flight hours.
