07NOV2022 INTEL BOARD

Have you followed up since then and had he just not responded?
My command ocs coordinator emailed him Thursday and this was still the response...I don't think it's changed. That's why I'm think there's three ways forward with this ...1) we're last minute reviews and he will finish our packages while the board is still convening...seems unlikely. 2) the NOV 28 date is when they'll look at AD or 3) we get pushed to the next board

I followed up this morning, apparently he had some issue accessing my attachments. I was able to fix it and was told he would look at it today.

Correct, I sent him another email a few days later and didn't get anything; my OCS coordinator has also reached out to him and hasn't received a response as far as I'm aware.

I'm wondering (and this is COMPLETELY speculation) if the dashboard listing as NOV 28 is for AD and they're holding two boards. I highly doubt it, but given the pushback on the other board to the same date with a lot of applications and the lagging of AD being confirmed at board, it does make me think.

The board dates are more like place holders, a board can happen earlier or later than the published date based on board members schedules. The dashboard is a document that is used as a guide and it is quite possible that whoever was putting in dates just put the same date for the IWC designators not realizing they split it up.

The other option is they combined them back like they were up to about a year ago.

They look at all the application at the same time no matter AD, civilian or reserve. There had been a few times when they did an AD only board but that was a time when no civilian applications were accepted and the only designator I remember doing that was EOD.

Spoke to Paul this morning,

My application was reviewed Friday and medical required an additional form which I submitted just minutes ago. He told me it is unlikely I would make board as it convened.

A little frustrating that the application was submitted over a month ago and it wasn’t able to be reviewed until one business day prior to board. Submitted all required documentation, I had no way of knowing medical would ask for an additional document.

Don’t mind my rant of the frustration over the process which is not fully clear.

Rant away.. it would make me super frustrated as well..

Also it seems the board did start convening today based on that information. Mhmm, interesting.I wonder if they’re splitting boards.

well, I guess I'll just assume I didn't make it to the board then. Good luck to everyone that did, I'm out until the next board is around the corner lol.

Hopefully, if there's a significant number of packages that were submitted on time but were not seen on this board through no fault of the applicant (as seems to be the case), they will have another board relatively soon, or combine the INTEL applicants with the other IWO applicants for the board at the end of the month. It seems ridiculous to make us wait until the next board in February because they weren't reviewed in time, even though we turned in our packages for the November board.

I wouldn’t give up hope yet. Maybe you did if all your paperwork is good to go. Keep us posted if you get an answer from him..
