Something like that.Awhh are you one of the first contributors??
Something like that.
Congratulations. I look forward to sharing the next success story.Hey everyone just took my ASTB about 30 minutes ago and I got a 45 6/7/7. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that posted gouges and tips. I studied for about a month lightly and leading up to the two weeks I studied pretty hard. I am currently an aviation major and I have my Private and instrument rating. I have about 250 hours. If you're stressing about the test don't. It wasn't that hard as long as you go through an amazon book of your choice or Kyle's study kit you'll be just fine.
Math
This scared me the most and going into the test I thought I was going to fail because of this portion. I used Kyle's ASTB study kit on google drive https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1AvPi5oH_h_13TGajDvflDWkftwXO8LS6?usp=sharing a lot of the questions for the math portion were on here. I felt like I guessed on at least half of them but pulled off a 6.
Reading
Not much to say here it sucked. I had to read the passages 2-3 times to try and figure out what they were asking. Most of the answer choices made me feel like I was failing the whole time.
Mech
Pretty straightforward a lot on electricity and alternating currents so brush up on that. A few questions asking weight in Newtons and the force exerted on an object which I guessed on. once again go through the study kit.
ANIT
This was the easiest for me it kicked me out with like 10 minutes left since I was answering them all right. Go through previous gouges because some of the questions were word for word and I can't remember exact questions. They asked about the dive bombers and stuff like that mainly aviation-related though.
NAFTI
Just be honest I stood away from statements that made me seem dishonorable like lying and cheating.
PBM
This was kinda hard for me but this game should help you no real way to study for it. https://jantzenx.github.io/ASTB/
UAV
I used the compass trick and I got most of them within 1.5 seconds use these flashcards and stick a pencil through the compass and spin it to make it go faster. https://www.proprofs.com/flashcards/story.php?title=_36014
All in all, don't stress too much I feel like I put in minimal to 50% effort while studying and got higher than minimum scores needed. Use Kyle's study guide and these flashcards https://www.cram.com/flashcards/mem...l-information-test-anit-comprehensive-4718163 Don't let the nerves get the best of you just go in and do the best you can do. If it helps I thought I was bombing the test the entire time lol.
Yes. I'm slated to graduate this May and I was still able to submit an application.Quick question, if you are graduating in May 2021, are you still able to apply for OCS? I started the process back in May of last year and still have a few things to finish.
BeforeDid you guys take the ASTB before or after meps?
It's a good method but still be sure to practice it plenty before you go. That way you can time yourself and do them as quickly as possible.I keep seeing a lot of folks who used the UAV compass truck say they went in overly confident. Is that not an ideal method to use?
