Retook the ASTB-E for the second time and approved slightly, not what I really wanted, but still improvement. I’ll give a break down of my test shortly. I went from 42 5,7,6 to a 49 6,7,6. Like is said, not much improvement so I may take it again. I’m not sure what the new AVO ASTB consists of. That wasn’t an option at the office today.

Not bad at all. Trending in the right direction. Did the AVO ASTB just come out? I know originally they were just going off ASVAB scores.

I’m not too sure on how it is administered or if there is a difference. I follow an LDO/CWO community thread on FB. The administrator mentioned the ASVAB was no longer going to be required due to a new ASTB being used for AVO. The updated PA 106A should be out sometime before the board though.
There’s an LDO/CWO roadshow coming to Hawaii, I plan to attend and ask those questions about the PA and ASTB.

I emailed my recruiter this morning about re-taking my ASTB and he said something about the test proctor changing. I'm guessing that has something to do with that.

Forgive me for being uninformed, but I'm assuming this is a major change to the test. Will the content still be the same? How is this going to affect testing in the future?

I have 0 details regarding this. However, if I had to make a crude guess it would be that there will be an SNA/NFO ASTB and an AVO ASTB, with different material on each.

My recruiter just got back to me, apparently the only change is that there's going to be a different person administering the tests here in my area lol

More importantly, the test itself won't have any changes, so that was good to hear

I took the ASTB and i got a score of 48 on the OAR
AQR=5
PFAR=6
FPFAR=5

and my GPA when i graduate will be somewhere around 3.50 or 3.60

Is this score good enough? I was thinking about taking it again and trying to increase my score, but that could also backfire. what if i were to score lower? you only get three tries. I don't think it is the best i could do but just curious what you guys think.....

I am sure i will study harder and retake it but just wanted to see what youall think i should do..(your inputs are appreciated.)
Hi, what did you use to study for the OAR?

If you have 15$ and a prime subscription, buy Barron’s Guide. It will give you example problems and step by step on how to solve them. I would also google general test taking strategies, learning how to test well can improve your score significantly. Kahn academy on YouTube can give you more support on any topics you need further explanation on.

For those of you who got 9 on the PFAR, how good was your airplane and throttle tracking? Are we talking crosshairs green and on the target nearly the whole time? I've improved a lot on the simulator but am nowhere near having green crosshairs the whole time.

I am also curious.

For what it's worth, on the Jantzen sim I was consistently getting 70s on medium-high speed. I got an 8 for messing up the e.p. Test.

Appreciate the input, i can be inconsistent at times with the jantzen sim, but I see a lot of high 70s I got a 62 once.
