Just took the ASTB and scored a 51 6/5/6. My recruiter said this is not competitive at all and I need to score at least 7/7/7 to be competitive.
I just ordered the X52 HOTAS and I will be practicing since I did terribly on the PBM portion.

Although I still plan on retaking it, how competitive would my package be
STATS:
Major: Math
GPA: 3.6
I don't have any fancy recommendations.

Does the board mainly just look at ASTB scores or do major and GPA play any role?

Is there anyway out side of Kyle Gomez Holley study guides to do any practice tests to know where I’m at time wise ? feel like I’m not gaining any progress just looking over these google drives

You could try the Barron’s Military Flight Aptitude Tests prep book, there’s a couple practice exams in there

Edit: I think Kyle’s drive has some of these exams. The book has some good study material tho

When taking the UAV portion of the PBM I have seen people say they average 2 seconds or less. I averaged 3-4 seconds and got one wrong. The test says speed and accuracy play a role but how much of a difference would my score be if I averaged 2 seconds instead of say 4 seconds and got all of them right?

all there really is to say is your score *probably* would have been better. No way for us to know how much better

I got a 92 and a 94 in the practice test for the throttle and stick, are those are good score
when do you plan on taking it? Just asking to see if you will have a personal answer for this same question before i take mine or not. And honestly I would study everything that you don't feel the best in. Math and aviation definitely will play a role in your scores but make everything as high as you can.

Just took my test yesterday, and wow I know people have talked about bad testing experiences, but it was a joke. I got kicked out of the test multiple times, was using a 15inch laptop screen (that wasn't even big enough for proper PBM) and they almost turned me away once I got to the PBM because they didn't have Mozilla Firefox (which is apparently the only browser the PBM works with). All of this after I drove 3.5 hours to one of the closest testing locations. Griping aside I scored lower than I wanted with a 55/6/4/6. While the 4 alone currently DQ's me from Naval Aviator, I was wondering if my AQR and FOFAR were high enough for decent chances at NFO? My college GPA was a 3.9 with a B.S.B.A in Computer Information Systems (from an honors college if that matters). I'm considering taking the test a second time now that I've got a grasp on it, and my biggest failure of the test was PBM tracking because I had done some home practice with x52 HOTAS but non-inverted (idiot I know) so I essentially trained myself to track backwards from the test. All advice on my next steps is appreciated!

I averaged 1.5 and didn't miss any. 9 FOFAR. Suffice it to say I owe that portion of my scores to the ASTB test prep app.
