That's 90 stick/85 throttle with difficulty maxed out? What were your dead zones, that's what kills me about using antimacro, is the response is so dead at the center.
I practiced with no dead zones, but if I had to guess, the real test is about a 3000 dead zone. Someone on here said they used 6000 as the dead zone, that’s way too high.

Congrats!

Any Gouge you can offer to others? I.e., areas to focus most on when studying? Thanks in advance.
Thank you!

I used two of the books from Amazon (red and blue ones), and the Gomez and Kyle drives from this thread. I also used the practice NFO simulator program a LOT. It's not exactly like the test since I never hooked it up to a stick and throttle, but it sharpens your reaction time and mentally prepares you.

A lot of people I know used this trick for the spacial awareness section:

My biggest piece of advice is to get a lot of rest the night before. You never feel like you're doing well and it's easy to lose focus, especially on the reading comprehension section. The first time I took it, I kept getting distracted midway through one of the paragraphs, and I'd have to refocus and start over. The second time, I got more sleep and felt less drained by the test.

Good luck!

I definitely should have put this in my original post, but I'll ask it here. How likely am I to get picked up for SNA or NFO? I'm a rising 1/C in NROTC with no prior service. I retook the ASTB and boosted my score from 7/6/7 to 8/8/8 and have a 3.5 GPA in an aviation degree. Service selection anxiety is already starting to kick in a few months early haha

Hey all, I’m trying to figure out whether or not I’ll be competitive for SNA. Just took astb for the first time today, got 7/8/8. 3.8gpa as a tier 3 major. I’m a rising 1/C on a 4 year scholarship in NROTC with lots of staff leadership positions held and top of my class. Hoping not to take it again so looking for some advice. Thanks again to everyone!

What did your class advisor say? Also, find the stats of senior classmates who got picked up.

Yep need all the practice I can get
Gomez and Kyle’s Drive will have most of what you need (use the search function). I would recommend buying a few practice test books off Amazon. ANIT may be covered in the drives and test booklets but I would recommend at least looking at some stuff from a basic ground school. Knowing different classes of airspace and light gun signals can come in clutch, but honesty I felt like I over studied for it if that’s possible.

The practice test books are really best at gauging your baseline knowledge and basic familiarity with the sections. Apart from that, figure out weak spots and use the internet.
