Making Recruiting Great Again
Hi, you'll find the answer to your question in the exact same post you've just replied to.

I am tracking your recruiter’s response, I am asking why would the Navy pay you for time in which you weren’t even considered a service member?

That is where I’m going with this…

For all my current BDCP officer candidates:
I just enlisted through BDCP Friday. I know I'm going to be waiting a little bit before I start to get paid, but should I expect to be back paid from the date I was selected or the date I enlisted? My recruiter said it was from my selection date, but that he wasn't sure. There's about a two week difference in those dates for me.
First off congrats to you on your selection. I am considering applying for this May board under BDCP. I couldn’t find your ASTB and GPA in the Excel spreadsheet so just out of curiosity what were those numbers so I can get an idea of how competitive selection might be looking, thanks!

I didn't know there was a spreadsheet! If you want to dm me that I'll add it, or you can do it yourself.

ASTB: 58 7/9/7
GPA : 3.60 (it's higher now but that's when I applied )

I am submitting a packet for SNA BDCP this upcoming board; however, I currently am being paid a monthly stipend by the VA from the Ch. 35 program through one of my parents. If accepted through BDCP will I have to forfeit the Ch.35 stipend or can I accept both forms of income?

I don't know anything really about ch35, but there's nothing in the BDCP program authorization that mentions that, so unless your (non -ready) reservist status interferes I don't see why you would have to forfeit your stipend. Since you will be enlisted in the naval reserve while you attend college and until you go to OCS.

haha damn, small world indeed. My recruiter is CWO4 Olaes. Was your recruiter located in the officer right off of Fletcher ave?
No, I’ve only been speaking to the Miami one since I’m moving there. Didn’t even know there was an officer recruiter on fletcher haha. Any tips for getting a letter from your nrotc unit to qualify?

I scheduled a virtual information session with the NROTC unit at our university and explained to them that I needed a letter stating I do not qualify for NROTC scholarship/qualify for BDCP. Hold off on this until you pass 60 credit hours because until then you do qualify for NROTC which will disqualify you from applying for BDCP.
