I'm still waiting. I was put into the August 29th class but had to defer to a later one due to my job. OR said Oct. or Nov. for a new class date. Will probably call tomorrow though.

I am also waiting, prior active duty, no hang ups.

Ok cool I'm not alone. The only thing I could think off is that we are in the IRR list (inactive reserve) and that can take sometime to be taken off that list. Before applying I remember talking to someone in NPC that said I needed to have my recruiter call and do that but was told by my recruiting office not to worry about it. I wonder if it's something they do behind the scenes now.
How long ago did you get out? I hope we get finsel soon :(

I got out in 2014, my IRR time ended in 2016. My OR told me she heard it could be after the new year, but obviously really doesn't know. I really hope that's not the case. My wife is pregnant with our first child, due Feb. 14th. Looks like I will probably be missing that :(:(

I got out 2014 too! And I'm sorry about that. That's the Military for ya. My sons dad also missed the birth of my son stationed in Japan, didn't make it on time. But I hope you can be there for it.

I really hope it's not after the new year :(. I don't want to go through the holidays not knowing when I'm going, at least I want to have a finsel. And I do want the old retirement plan so I would rather for before the end of the yr

Yeah, fortunately my wife understands sometimes sacrifices have to be made. It's looking like a logistical nightmare though, trying to figure out where she will be when she has the baby, moving, housing, doctors... all of that fun stuff, but we will get through it. And I agree, I would prefer to keep the old retirement plan, it's my intention to finish out my 20. Just keep waiting.....

Why didn't you list your OCS available date after February?

I am sure he was expecting to be graduated by then and make it to the birth and be in Oharp

By the way Sir, are there any deadlines for finsel on Big Navy's side? Like what is the longest an applicant can wait for a Finsel? 6 mos, a year...?

Like Carina said, I was expecting a quick ship date. I even received an email the week of my selection asking if I was 100% prepared and ready for a quick turn around, I responded with a yes. I made sure my OR was well aware of my wife's pregnancy and asked multiple times if there was a way to ask the powers at be to take it into consideration. I was told no.

Do the powers that pick OCS classes really take this into consideration? Got a bit of mixed answers on this front from my OR.
In my package, I had October 29 as my first available date. Got called in August and asked if I wanted SEP or 8OCT without them mentioning the availability date. So it's probably considered but not closely looked at. But who knows.
