What was your scores and gpa?Pro-Rec N for me as well. Back to work![]()
The results and availability of spots has nothing to do with the FY, they started filling FY26 back around April.I've also heard that this board was unusually competitive because at the beginning of this Fiscal Year, they had a 90-95 acceptance rate and have been running out of slots to allocate. When the next fiscal year opens up, there should be a higher selection rate. Keep your head up.
It wouldn't they are consistent, there are often things people outside NRC aren't aware of in a person's application that could allow for a person with good scores to get passed on or one with so so scores to get picked up, and sometimes mistakes happen where good people just get a no, I had one like that.Every other board it has been like that (gpa and astb). Not sure why this board had a different criteria.
If these are accurate this selection percentage is in line with historical norms, when I looked back over many years when I had access to the data the average selection percentage was 50% with swings between 25-75% based on the number of those that applied.206 total SNA
155 SNA
51 SNA/SNFO
80 SNA Selected
There was only around 110~ accepted on this board total, SNA and SNFO combined200+ applied and 90ish accepted? That’s what I remember reading but not 100% sure.
Definitively there is no way that is trueLetters of recommendation have no bearing on whether your application gets accepted or not. It’s ASTB and GPA ONLY.
My recruiter didn’t even ask me for LOR’s.Definitively there is no way that is true
Yeah I know exnavy says it’s consistent above and I’m sure he’s right. But I had a 9 PFAR and 3.25 gpa with no non medical waivers. Maybe the honesty test during the astb killed me because I had no idea if I was telling the truth or notDefinitively there is no way that is true
I hated when all the options were definitely not my personality lolYeah I know exnavy says it’s consistent above and I’m sure he’s right. But I had a 9 PFAR and 3.25 gpa with no non medical waivers. One positive perspective on my end is more time to work on that 1.5 mile time hahaI think we’ll all have a better shot when FY27 opens up and they have all the spots to fill again.
Same thing happened this time last year, they filled up the quota in 3 boards and the next normal board wasn’t until May. March is still a FY26 board so I’m thinking we won’t have a regular board until the May or June one. Just gotta keep our heads up and think of it as more time to learn that Bravo knowledge lol
Same, I got new running shoes last weekend because I was hopefulOne positive perspective on my end is more time to work on that 1.5 mile time haha
