Hey I just spoke with my Recruiter. I dont know how much of this is true but he stated that they're not accepting applications for the April May Board for Pilots because they were overbooked from another class. He also said the April board was canceled and the next board isn't until October. What's up with this? Anyone else know anything about this? He was quick to bring up other options other than pilot but I stood ground and told him thats fine if I had to wait as long as I had pilot.
I really hope this isn't true, because if so it freaking sucks and it's going to make the next year of life more difficult :/

Disney Springs is a trip too! No admission fees and it's like an extension of Orlando and Disney World.
On a happy note considering the last post I just replied to... I got to play with my buddies country band at the House of Blues back in 2019 (mandolin and guitar) and it was one of the highlights of my life. So many memories of seeing bands on that stage so getting to perform on it was amazing. I'm obviously shifting out of the music career at this point, but I'll always have memories like that! :)

I refuse to believe any of this is true until something official is released stating such. Just keep planning for the next board that is on the calendar. Worst that happens is you have more time to fine tune and eventually get seen by the board. No point in stressing out over things that are out of your control. It’s cool for your recruiter to give you a heads up but also at the end of the day his job is to put your application in and have you submitted for the next available board. If he doesn’t want to do that find a different recruiter.

This is standard when there is a long break in between boards that they will not accept any application until X months prior. The next board is May, the one after that is August.

If they need to cancel another board it will show on the revised board schedule and the dashboard.

Correct, unless NRC updates the dashboard and board schedule saying cancelled keep planning for submission.

A recruiter cannot submit an application for a board that is too far out, it will get rejected by NRC, in some cases NRC will send out internal info saying do not submit for a specific designator until a specific time.

So basically, this is all a mix up of words. The recruiter is saying they aren't accepting applications right now, which is technically true, but it's not because they just aren't taking anyone it's because the next board is so far out. May is still going to be filling FY 23 seats, and nothing has changed from what we've known for a couple weeks now. Am I tracking correctly?

at this point yes, given the numbers moved to FY 23 I believe it is reasonable to say lower selections are on the table and to not be surprised by new info.
