Welcome!Long time lurker here. My package is nearly complete and I had originally hoped to be on this board, but I currently live outside the country, and when I visited home for MEPS I was sent away for not having been in the country for 14 consecutive days. Now I'm planning another trip back to the States to retake the test (scored an abysmal 5,4,5 on my first try) and to finally succeed at MEPS. But all this talk of applications being pushed to the summer is spiking my interest for NFO only. I just turned 30 so time is by far my greatest factor right now.
Can anyone shed some light on the OCS timeline for pilots versus the OCS timeline for NFO at the moment? I just have no idea how long this process is supposed to take, especially under current circumstances, and it sounds like my recruiter hasn't dealt with many aviation applicants. I'll take rumors and hearsay because so far all I have is my own spiraling uncertainty. Thanks in advance.

Are you saying that ironically or is Sig really beautiful? Lol the pictures of the area look pretty nice, but I don't know what it's actually like to be thereBeautiful Sig lol
This is my second time here. I really do love it. It’s just a little run down. Maybe not the immediate area is beautiful but the island is certainly in my opinion. Are you saying that ironically or is Sig really beautiful? It doesn't, not at all, and if the person telling you that had a clue or knew how to look at the dashboard they would understand that. The USN needs to attain just under 300 SNA from OCS for FY 22, 200 have gone to OCS with more waiting, it is about meeting the attainment goal.I was told the delays had to do with sending academy and ROTC grads to Pcola in May. Ie why they've pushed people with dates post Jan. As a result, I'd assume both NFOs and SNAs would be delayed. The mystery in this whole equation is it seems SNAs are the only ones who have been principally pushed to July onward.
Bless your insight. It doesn't, not at all, and if the person telling you that had a clue or knew how to look at the dashboard they would understand that. The USN needs to attain just under 300 SNA from OCS for FY 22, 200 have gone to OCS with more waiting, it is about meeting the attainment goal.
If that was even remotely true the timeline doesn't work out, USNA and NROTC grad in May or early June so they will be in Pensacola in June, to prevent a bottle neck you would need OCS students to arrive in July and later, that means to account for OCS and leave go back 4 months, that means those going to OCS would have been pushed to March.
Random question. So why doesn't NRC let people know if they have been selected or not earlier. They know who has been selected so why not let them and the people who weren't know so they can start moving forward. Then tell the people who were selected their dates later when they figure it out.It doesn't, not at all, and if the person telling you that had a clue or knew how to look at the dashboard they would understand that.
