performing music or academic stuff?
Both. I was a vocal performance major but we all have to study a crap ton of theory and music history. Also studied composition, mandolin, guitar, and some music technology. Everything from medieval/renaissance music to classical/romantic and folk music. A whole lot of choir music. Outside of the academic world I play(ed) in a country band and a punk/emo/alt rock band. Spent most of the time since as a private music teacher and performer before COVID destroyed the music industry. You a musician?

Odds are you're better at piano than I am! Biggest mistake I made as a child was quitting piano lessons. It would've made my college years much easier and I probably would've had better grades. I couldn't even read music when I showed up at college so the fact that I not only got into the department but got a scholarship and went on to complete my degree still shocks me. I really had no business being a music major but I did it anyways. Of course, the constantly playing "catch up" to fellow students that had been classically trained since they were children combined with working through college combined with an attitude that passing/graduating was all that mattered (not grades) since I wasn't going to grad school has really come back to bite me now. If I could talk to 19 year old me 11 years ago I'd tell him that he better do everything he has to do to get A's because he's going to wish his GPA was stellar when he decides to pivot life paths and join the military at 30 haha. We learn as we grow I suppose! I'm studying harder right now for the ASTB than I ever did in high school or college.

I did the calculations. Based on the information I gathered. The people without capital letters have higher averages for the astb.

I’m sure it means nothing but also if they use excel you can sort by case sensitive which leads me to believe it does mean something.
Yea but when you do it that way you notice that every single active duty person is capitalized. I genuinely agree it may just be who input the names. Cause there’s no way not a single active guy got selected, and there’s also very low chances every single one got selected lol. So I’m leaning more towards it means nothing.

but I know at least one non-AD that's also capitalized.

Yea well I wasn't allowed to quit piano lessons. And after many years I still couldn't read music ? what's your GPA?

That’s what I’m saying. I was just making an observation that all AD are capitalized, plus whoever else is. So there just doesn’t seem any factors about the people who are capitalized or not capitalized to make any suggestions as to what it means? it means nothing!

Just to clarify, did everyone make the “At-Board” list?

I know this topic was addressed earlier but it is very interesting to see not one person pushed with FY22 limitations ?.

Why push people when you’re taking everyone?
