I have just heard a bunch of pilots’ OCS dates are getting pushed back months later, e.g. Feb to now Aug/Sept 2022. They were told it’s due to an excess amount of pilots coming from ROTC and academy.

Looks as though they might take their sweet time with our results and ship dates ?.
That wouldn't be a reason to push them, the fact that most of the pilots coming from OCS have already shipped to OCS would be a reason. OCS has a specific number of people in each designator to send and commission each FY, USNA and NROTC commission a specific number of people in each designator as well so who is arriving at what school is not a surprise.

Did you submit a waiver or explanation on this in your application?

I still have a 3.6 after the fact so I straight up just said in my motivational statement that I dropped out twice, got my act together, and graduated Magna Cum Laude and department grand marshall. They likely don't care about my sob story so I kept it brief.

That's still decent. Mines like a 2.7 now even though I have a 4.0 in my degree. I didn't realize it worked this way ?

Yeah if you don't get picked up I would probably add a short explanation per the boards "applicants are encouraged to address lower GPA in their motivational statement with any mitigating factors" but I'm no expert ¯\(ツ)

Does this mean they are robbing Peter to pay Paul already by moving OCS pilots for FY22 to FY23 OCS dates?

This is just one of the many messages I saw sent by some recruiters.

This is more in line with what I was saying with reduction in overall spots and why this board could be rough.

This has nothing to do with SNA and SNFO spots from USNA or NROTC but just overall reduction, OCS spots do vary based on a few items, this is just one of the bigger swings.
