On a different note, Everyone have fun but stay safe this weekend. Relax and have a beer! Except for you guys on the board that aren’t 21... that’s Illegal;)
No use fretting over what you have no control over... Like you say, better to go to a baseball game and enjoy yourself

Anyone else get an email from a Jeffrey Keating saying “congratulations on taking the first step towards joining the Navy?” Is this an acceptance email or just some spam email they send to everyone who starts the OCS Application? I haven’t heard anything from my OR and I texted him with no reply, which is to be expected on a holiday weekend like this. But I’m kind of freaking out right now...

Wreaks of spam man. I’d ignore it. Your OR will be the person to give you news. I havnt seen any emails like that, and the lack of information at the bottom of his makes it suspect. I wouldn’t worry about it

Look like one of those emails your get when you fill out one of those online interest forms for the military. Did one for the Marines on social media on accident a while back and got an email similar to this and a call about a week later from a recruiter. Don't think it's any confirmation.

I looked at that leaderboard for “Murph”, how the hell are guys pushing 20 minutes on that circuit?
1 Mile run @ 5:00
100 pull-ups @ 1:40
200 push-ups @ 3:20
300 squats @ 5:00
1 mile run @ 5:00
= 20:00
Just did it! Kinda disappointed with 1:14:05, but it’s a start
That’s the best way to do it though man. I remember when I came back from being out of shape I could only run 2 miles at 7:20 pace completely gassed. Ran 5 days a week and in a little over a month’s time, I got down to a 10 miler at 6:45 average pace. Just gotta be patient, but you also gotta push the limit a bit everyday w/ proper rest days and diet for recovery. You’re gonna eat it, but don’t let that discourage you.

Just did the "Murph" this morning and completed in an 1:04. 20 minutes for the circuit is insane! As for the running advice you're a hundred percent right. Run times just start shaving off once you get into a regime and push yourself. Got back into running late last year and couldn't get past 2 miles at a 920 pace. Now I'm hitting 6 miles at a 740 pace. My body was by no means made for running, so this is pretty good for me haha.
