MR, I have a couple questions that my recruiter can't answer about preparing for OCS:
1.) Packing list says briefs. Is that 'righty whities' or can I wear the same pairs of boxers I've enjoyed for years?
2.) Immunization records. I had the same doctor for the first 21 years of my life, he just happens to be 4,500 miles from me. My recruiter says I need no medical paperwork since I didn't need a waiver, but different pages on here say I need shots records and some say I need everything. If I want to get any of that before the 23rd I need to get the ball rolling. What do you recommend?
3.) White undershirts. I can't read any packing list page without it emphasizing that our crew neck undershirts need a tight neckline. I hate cotton shirts that cling to my neck, it'll probably be the death of me at OCS. Are under armor (or realisticly Walmart brand with no logo) dry fit style shirts allowed if they have the emphasized tight neckline?
Thanks in advance
Live by the gauge die by the gauge. Definitely memorize the big five before you get there. You don't need a car there. Unless it's easy for you to drive...I wouldn't drive Cross Country or anything. Totally not worth it.Hey man, thanks for offering up your help. Two quick questions:
1. How accurate were the gouges, scale of 1-10
2. Not sure if you drove but would you regret not having a car? I know there's a lot of opinions and the question has its own thread but I'm looking for yours
Thanks
You no longer refer to yourself in third person in OCS... just FYIView attachment 16178 Haven't seen one with 15 yet, the OCS guide to success from the recruiter has 13.. How does this compare to yours?
This COC is incorrect! OCS COC starts with the Section leader and has 15 people in it.I looked on the website less than a month ago and the chain of command that I found is no longer there but I managed to take a picture of it.

Seems like they must have updated it because the only thing I can find now is a .pdf study guide here:

Scroll down to 'memorization items.'
1, Wear whatever underwear you want but bring at least one pair of all white for dress whites. (You won't reaaly wear them in your class) but should have one pair of whites.MR, I have a couple questions that my recruiter can't answer about preparing for OCS:

You check in by 0800 on the Sunday your class starts, so 23OCT16, at Callaghan Hall. Do not go to King. There will be signs around base directing you to check in.got my orders Thursday. Short turnaround but checking in. I'm sure most of your orders say check in no later than the 22nd? But it sounds like we actually check in the 23rd
