I did some research from all of the past Pilot/NFO boards.
The average time from the board convene date to the date results were released from the past 2 years has been between 8 days and 42 days. We are currently at 16 days in.
you can't go back that far to get an estimate as the process changed about a year ago, maybe 15 months ago.

around 25-30 percent of the Carrier CO's I have known of have been NFO's, but you have communities like helo's that don't have NFO's so more than likely it will skew in favor of NA's.

A carrier CO has to meet 2 requirements, be URL and be a rated aviator, so no SWO's can command a carrier. I have seen a dual pinned CO, not sure if he was SWO and lateral transferred to aviation or was aviation and was able to obtain his SWO pin on one of his other tours.

Are you sure? My whole family has been Navy and I've heard from several that SWOs are eligible to command carriers now. I'm just a former brat currently so all I can offer is their insight... but they've all been pretty clear. Pilots, NFOs, SWOs

Edit: they were talking about the billet over a carrier as in commanding a carrier strike group... mea culpa fellas

That has been in place for as long as there have been carriers, I have had CSG Admirals that were Sub, SWO-N, SWO, and a few aviators.

I feel like that’s a great way to get smoked by the DIs ?
Ranger panties and silkies are for the real OGs. So for my last night of Arnold Air Society, I wore some realllllll silkies. Was a power move forsure. Not sorry. Hear it is still a pledge question.
