Do you what would happen if someone retakes the ASTB, while their package is already at a board? Since the results are coming out so close to the next deadline, I’m wondering if it’s possible to retake the ASTB for resubmission, but if you got a lower score would that affect your original submission or even potentially a Pro-rec Y?Generally no, but it really depends on if the PM sees a reason to let it slide by, I have had candidates with really good scores or GPA/degree for non aviation that were a "No" that surprised the PM, he let them slide by to the next board with no real change in application, but he thought they should have been picked up earlier.
Maybe the PM thought you had scores that should have warranted a selection prior? or maybe he was just so busy at that time he didn't look really hard.

I kinda talked to my OR about part of this a couple days ago. Feel free to correct this if it’s wrong, but he said you can take the ASTB while you have a package at board. However, he said that because we would possibly be submitting a package so close to the deadline of the next board there is a good possibility that it could get rolled to the following board (and therefore rushing to test again could all be in vain). He didn’t mention it impacting the current package at board. But he did say they are currently updating from apex 4 to apex 5 testing system for the ASTB and that no one in the nation is testing right now until it is live (he said it would be somewhere from the 12th-15th?). I’m not really sure though, I often question the validity of the info I getDo you what would happen if someone retakes the ASTB, while their package is already at a board? exnavyoffrec has answered this before, if you get a lower score while a package is on the board it will invalidate your package which is why you should wait for the board results first.Do you what would happen if someone retakes the ASTB, while their package is already at a board? Gotcha, makes sense. Thank you!exnavyoffrec has answered this before, if you get a lower score while a package is on the board it will invalidate your package which is why you should wait for the board results first.
I’m not sure if it’s the same for updating the program, but before the new ASTB-E was a thing, if you took the old version of the ASTB and used all three chances, your attempts re-set when the new version came out. Again, that may not be the case with just a system upgrade ie: apex 4 to apex 5.Can’t even retest anymore cause I used up all 3 try’s already
Oh dude you just set it off for sure.Looong time lurker (like 6 yrs) first time commenter. Don’t mean to set off a fury, but my BIL was on this board and just got a call from his recruiter with his PROREC-Y. He’s in the DMV area for more info.
