Well, one plus of the E-6Bs is how easy it is to rack up flight hours, especially for multi-engine that can go towards the airlines (if that's what you want to do).
Second this point, if your end game is to fly commercial, you can do no better than E-6. One of my very good friends is leaving his first sea tour with that community and said it’s not unheard of for a new pilot in the fighter community to leave their first sea tour with under 100 total flight hours for their 2 year stint. He’s leaving his with a shade over 1,000.

It’s crazy how the EP-3 is still in service. It’s another platform I’d dread selecting only because it’s days are numbered.

Those secret squirrel planes are cool, but I definitely see their days as numbered. Drones will replace them.
The NOAA is still flying P-3s through hurricanes. Imagine getting a commission waiver/transfer and going that route.

Interesting situation, my AD ends late august and I got pushed to the AUG board, despite having submitted my package late February. So I was originally early, but now due to the backup I am late. Not sure how my stuff will go, or if I’ll have enough time to do an active duty extension. I’d def like to not have a gap in service.
just want to clarify that my submission is via recruiter, obviously i can't submit for active duty Aug board if i separate in July lol.
They haven't rejected your application for being within 90 days of separation? might as well request an extension, why not apply for it?
