Your scores are at or near minimums which few get picked with, you need to retake your ASTB, if your scores were stellar like the other guy and it was probably an oversight I would say try it, but you are looking at another "N" and more time waiting, and on a remote possibility or a DNR, should your submit and then get rolled to the next board you are going to be waiting even longer to retake and try with good scores.
So I told my OR that I was aiming for the September board so I can add some flight hours between now and then. So hopefully by September I can submit again for SNA with a decent amount of flight hours under my belt and hopefully I would have passed the written for my PPL.

Unfortunately I am trying to avoid a retest until absolutely necessary because this is already my second attempt. My first time was horrendous. I scored a 45 3/4/4 so I rushed into my second test and then I scored a 47 5/6/6. A big improvement but I still best myself up for it because had I given myself more time I would have scored a lot better.

my son did that, declined SWO and is in OCS right now as NFO
Hey I’m a long time lurker in here I’m AD and got selected for SWO last board and was passionate about the aviation selection but wasn’t selected on the 24may board and wanted to know if you or anyone had any insight on the lateral transfer process from surface to aviation..or to just resubmit for aviation?what was the process like for your son did he have you get new interviews and how did he update his package if you don’t mind me asking

My opinion is to get in the designator you would like. Doing LAT transfer is never guaranteed

Got the official call from my CO this morning that I was selected for SNA FY 22.

If any enlisted folks would like for me to help along with the process IE checkout your application feel free to send me a PM. I probably don’t have much to offer for some of you civilian folks, but I have been enlisted for 10 years and have done many applications, LORS, and etc.

Congrats to everyone who made it. For those who didn’t get picked up- don’t give up. My package was submitted in December, and tbh at times it felt like it was never going to happen. Patience is a virtue, and I guarantee you won’t regret your resilience.
Your scores and being active duty give me hope for this next board

Are these OCS dates set in stone or do they ever get moved around at all or are you allowed to request a different date? Obviously going to take what I can get, but just curious
I’m also curious about this… I received a Jan OCS date (Prorec Y SNA) but want to push it back so I can finish my masters program. My recruiter wasn’t sure if it’s possible, but in the board results it says that if the OCS Class date needs to be change to contact the Program Manager and the candidate will be rolled to the next available class.
I’d appreciate any input on this!

I’m scheduled for Jan too but I’m trying to leave earlier so I guess I’m wondering too lol
