To be clear my point is to show you the exact contradictions you’re mentioning? I have called 14 NRDs and received many different responses.

To settle ALL confusion I called the man who has the answers cut and dry. Navy Community Manager of Aviation. I suggest ANYONE who has ANY doubt in what I’ve said to call for yourself. This number is from Navy.mil detailing Navy personnel command....

He said no openings in SNA until summer of next year, BUT the presidential election and the Covid issues play a major part in this so things can change.

I’m implore you to call him yourself rather than trying to kill the messenger. I’m only trying to help each of you guys be prepared with level expectations.

Im not trying to argue, but what do you mean no further applicants getting selected, when it is showing that indeed some applicants have been selected for SNA/NFO(based off the dashboard, and GENOFF). Im just trying to understand what youre saying

Look @dvella12, we accept you, but you‘re missing the whole conversation. Yes we’re being realistic, but it’s also an open conversation. If you’re just going to be pessimistic and snarky, then we really just don’t care. I wouldn’t recommend going to OCS with that mindframe ?

But im generally curious though. i mean im asking where hes getting his information that NO applicants were selected but Kale, Goldy, and Heart are providing information saying that there were people selected??.

My understanding from my limited knowledge and from what other people have posted elsewhere is that the board doesnt have a "quota" they look at whatever is sent to them. It's the individual NRDs that are deciding to hold back applicants to build up FY22 or FY23 numbers

But what about the 101 applicants needed to be selected to hit their recruiting "goal?
Why would they roll only some applicants to the next board but allow others to stay and be present on the AT-Board list? why not just push everyone to the next board?

Sounds right.

if the board was cancelled we wouldn’t see quotas from the dashboard or even an at board list.
