Thats the way to do it! After my brother retired from the AF last year, he got picked up by a larger finance firm. His team lead had us over and poured some 15k whisky. Stuff tastes like cat piss smells lol. Taught me a lesson In “fine” liquors.

expense doesn't necessarily = good, I had whisky in LV that was like 50.00 a glass, it was ok, I have preferred others, lucky me I didn't pay for it, the advantage of going to LV with friends who were in the computer industry making at least 200k a year but I am sure they make much more.

Now that I am civilized again. My point on that was, I will stick with what I know I like. Lots of the guys I work with buy expensive liquors and never drink them. It is on the same scale of buying super expensive liquors and choking it down.

Jim Beam Single Barrel is my favorite also pretty expensive but you get what you pay for. They tell you exactly how they make it on the bottle and hand number each bottle with the barrel it came from.

I like the old movie scenes where someone pulls out a couple glasses, one for himself and one for his friend and pours some expensive drink. Seems like my idea of "high society", I've always wanted that whole setup.

Unfortunately, I can't stand the taste of alcohol, I'm probably an odd ball when it comes to disliking it so strongly that I choose to avoid it. My idea of a fancy drink is a 32oz Mt Dew from 7 Eleven that I sip slowly through an afternoon. I've cut soda out of my diet but I reward myself once a month for completing a months worth of scheduled runs lol.

Would have to say the same. Not huge on drinking after college. I will say that the new Truly hard iced teas are super good. I myself love any energy drink. Since the start of the new year I have been cutting out my caffeine consumption, its my year tolerance reset. Probably my favorite energy drink is a sugar free red bull.
